I’ve been talking about taking short trips around the state of Texas since I moved here. Now, I’m finally going to start doing it!! I have my first stop in mind, but am curious as to where you think I should go.

So, let me know about some of your favorite places to visit – either a day trip or a short overnight trip.

  1. Garner State Park- they have dances nightly in the summer and pretty rock bottom rives, Big Bend State Park-because its the perfect landscape for dinosaurs and pterodactyls and its strange and beautiful (really appealed to my imagination, Marfa- for the mysterious lights! Austin (keep it weird!) and Corpus Christi, just because I was born there 🙂 There’s a fabulous amount of stuff to do in Texas, but its all a bit of a hike. Is Carlsbad Cavern in Texas? I want to go there, too.
