Emilyism

It’s time for a break from communication posts, which means it is time for an Emilyism!!!

Friday was hubby’s birthday and Emily finally got it through her head that it wasn’t her birthday, it was Daddy’s. Either way, for her, it meant we got to have a party!!!

Friday

E: We are going to have a party!

Me: Yes, we are going to celebrate Daddy’s birthday.

E: We are going to have a party! All my friends are coming!

Me: You are going to have pizza while Daddy and I go out to dinner.

E: I’m going to have a pizza party!

Me: Yep.

Saturday

E: Are we going to have a party tonight?

Me: Yes, we are going to have a BBQ for Daddy’s birthday with the neighbors. Let’s go to the store to buy the groceries.

E: And air balloons? (balloons)

Me: Yes, air balloons.

E:  For Daddy?

Me: Yes.

(Come home later that afternoon)

E: Daddy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! I got your air balloons!!!

The smile on Daddy’s face was priceless.
